Chicken Casserole Recipe

Ingredients
  • TOPPING:
  • 1 (10.75 oz) can condensed cream of chicken soup, undiluted
  • 1 c milk
  • 2 tbsps sliced green pepper
  • 1/2 c cornflake crumbs
  • 2 tbsps butter or margarine, melted
  • 1/4 c sliced onion
  • 1 (8 oz) package wide egg noodles, cooked & drained
  • 2 c cubed, cooked chicken
  • 1/4 c shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsps butter or margarine
  • 1 (4 oz) can sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 1/2 c sliced celery
  • 6 pimento-stuffed green olives, sliced

Directions
  • Step #1 In a skillet, saute celery, onion & green pepper in butter.
  • Step #2 Remove from the heat; add chicken, mushrooms, olives, soup, milk & noodles.
  • Step #3 Mix well.
  • Step #4 Spoon into a 2-qt.
  • Step #5 baking dish.
  • Step #6 Cover & bake this at 325F degrees F for 25 mins.
  • Step #7 Meanwhile, mix topping ingredients.
  • Step #8 Sprinkle top topping around edges of casserole; return to the oven for 5 mins or until the cheese is melted.
