Indian Shrimp And Rice Pulao
Ingredients
1/2 tsp salt .
1/2 c raisins (optional) .
1/4 c slivered almonds, toasted .
1 tsp curry powder .
1/2 c ghee or butter or margarine .
1 c rice, uncooked .
1 medium onion, sliced .
2 1/4 c water, boiling .
2 tsps instant chicken bouillon
Directions
Step #1 Cook & stir rice & onion in ghee until rice is yellow & onion is tender.
Step #2 Stir in raisins, bouillon, curry powder & salt.
Step #3 Pour into ungreased 1 1/2 quart casserole.
Step #4 Stir in water.
Step #5 Cover up & cook in 350 degree oven until liquid is absorbed, 25 to 30 mins.
Step #6 Stir in almonds.
