Beef In Red Wine Mushroom Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3 tbsps finely sliced carrots .
  • 3 tbsps tomato paste .
  • 1 tsp garlic powder .
  • 2 c beef broth .
  • 3 tbsps butter .
  • 3 tbsps finely sliced celery .
  • 1/4 c flour .
  • 1 tsp black pepper .
  • 1 tsp onion powder .
  • 4 oz sliced mushrooms .
  • 2 1/4 lbs sirloin, sliced into thin strips .
  • 1/2 c red wine .
  • 3 tbsps safflower oil

Directions
  • Step #1 In a large Dutch oven or kettle, sauté the beef in the butter & oil.
  • Step #2 Add the vegetables & continue to cook this until tender.
  • Step #3 Sprinkle top with flour, reduce the heat & cook for 5 mins.
  • Step #4 Add the wine, broth, tomato paste & seasonings.
  • Step #5 Simmer for 50 mins covered.
  • Step #6 Serve over noodles.
