21st Street Pan Bagna Rolls Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 tsps salt .
  • 1/4 c oil .
  • 2 tsps sugar .
  • 2 tbsps yeast .
  • 1 1/2 c warm water .
  • 3 1/2-4 c flour

Directions
  • Step #1 Dissolve yeast with warm water & add the sugar.
  • Step #2 Let this sit for at least 15 mins.
  • Step #3 Add the remaining ingredients & knead for 10 mins.
  • Step #4 Cover up & let rise for about 45 mins.
  • Step #5 Punch down & let rest for 5 mins.
  • Step #6 Divide into 8 pieces.
  • Step #7 Roll each piece into a round shape about 9 inches around.
  • Step #8 Fold edges into the center & pinch into the center.
  • Step #9 Preheat oven to 425F degrees with a pan of hot water in the floor of the oven.
  • Step #10 Place on a baking sheet & let rise for 1 hr then bake for 10 mins.
  • Step #11 Turn the heat down to 350 degrees & bake for an extra 15 mins.
  • Step #12 Remove from the oven & wrap in a towel for a few mins to steam.
