Berry Dutch Baby (low-fat) Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 c all-purpose flour .
  • 2 tsps vanilla .
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter or margarine .
  • 2 tbsps powdered sugar .
  • 2 tbsps granulated sugar .
  • 3 1/2 c raspberries or strawberries or blueberries (or a combo) .
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon .
  • 2 large eggs .
  • 3 large egg whites .
  • 1 c nonfat milk .
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Directions
  • Step #1 Pre heat oven to 425F degrees.
  • Step #2 Place cast iron skillet or other ovenproof frying pan in the oven.
  • Step #3 Blend together the egg whites, milk, eggs, vanilla, sugar, flour, & salt until smooth.
  • Step #4 Add butter to the hot skillet, swirling to melt butter & coat both bottom & sides of pan.
  • Step #5 Pour the batter into the pan & bake 25 mins or until until the Dutch baby is puffy & well-browned.
  • Step #6 While the cake is baking, mix the cinnamon & berries in a bowl.
  • Step #7 Spoon the berries onto the Dutch baby & sprinkle with powdered sugar.
  • Step #8 Serve hot.
