Step #1 In a mixing bowl, brown sugar, cream the butter, & flour together; mix well.
Step #2 Reserve 1/2 c crumb mixture; press remaining mixture into an 8 inch square baking pan.
Step #3 Bake in a 350 degree oven for 10-12 mins; cool.
Step #4 In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, egg, & lemon juice until fluffy (1-2 mins).
Step #5 Stir in cherries.
Step #6 Spread filling over cooled crust.
Step #7 Sprinkle top reserved crumb mixture over top.
Step #8 Bake at 350 for 18-20 mins or until the filling is set & top is lightly browned.
Step #9 Cool & store this in the refrigerator.
