Ingredients
  • 2 tsps baking powder .
  • 3/4 tsp salt .
  • 1 tsp vanilla .
  • 3/4 tsp baking soda .
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon .
  • 3/4 c sugar .
  • 2 3/4 c flour .
  • 2 medium peaches, peeled & sliced, about 1 c .
  • 1/2 c butter .
  • 1/2 c buttermilk .
  • 1 egg

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 400F degrees.
  • Step #2 In a medium bowl, baking powder, baking soda, salt, sugar, mix flour, & cinnamon.
  • Step #3 Using two knives or a pastry mixer, cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse meal.
  • Step #4 Combine buttermilk, egg & vanilla.
  • Step #5 Stir into flour mixture with peaches until just mixd.
  • Step #6 On lightly floured surface knead dough 5-6 times.
  • Step #7 Pat dough into 3/4" thick circle.
  • Step #8 Cut into 10 wedges.
  • Step #9 Place on a baking sheet.
  • Step #10 Bake at 400F edgrees for 20-25 mins or until golden brown.
