Mustard Seed And Papaya Chutney Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 tbsps mustard seeds .
  • 1/4 c sugar .
  • 1/2 medium red onion, finely sliced .
  • 3 ripe papayas, peeled, seeded & coarsely sliced .
  • 1/2 c water .
  • 1 1/2 c white vinegar .
  • 1 tbsp curry powder

Directions
  • Step #1 Combine vinegar, water, sugar & mustard in 1-quart pan.
  • Step #2 Place over med-heat/flame & bring to boil.
  • Step #3 Cook until liquid becomes syrupy.
  • Step #4 Add papayas & curry powder.
  • Step #5 Cook 2 mins more, stirring constantly.
  • Step #6 Remove from heat & mix in onion.
  • Step #7 Pack mixture into jar & put in the fridge 1 week before using.
