Classic Yorkshire Pudding Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 c all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c whole milk
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 tbsps beef or bacon drippings

Directions
  • Step #1 In a large bowl, mix together the flour, milk, eggs & salt.
  • Step #2 Using an electric mixer, beat 5 mins, until smooth.
  • Step #3 Cover & put in the fridge 1 hr.
  • Step #4 Preheat oven to 425F degrees F (220 degrees C).
  • Step #5 Coat a 9x13 inch baking pan with beef or bacon drippings.
  • Step #6 Preheat the pan 15 mins so the drippings are hot & sizzling.
  • Step #7 Remove the mixture from the refrigerator.
  • Step #8 Beat briefly, then scoop into the baking pan.
  • Step #9 Bake 20 mins.
  • Step #10 Lower oven temperature to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Step #11 Without opening the oven, continue baking 15 mins.
  • Step #12 The mixture should be puffed & golden brown.
  • Step #13 Remove from oven & serve hot.
