Sesame Almond Macaroons Recipe

Ingredients
  • 5/8 c toasted sesame seeds .
  • 2 egg whites .
  • 1/2 c white sugar .
  • 7 oz almond paste, crumbled

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 325F degrees.
  • Step #2 Line cookie sheet with parchment.
  • Step #3 With an electric mixer, beat almond paste with sugar until only tiny pieces of the almond paste remain.
  • Step #4 Add egg whites, & beat on high speed unti smooth.
  • Step #5 Mix in sesame seeds.
  • Step #6 Drop by rounded tspfuls onto prepared cookie sheet, 2 inches apart.
  • Step #7 Bake 14 mins or until puffed, pale gold, & the edges begin to brown.
  • Step #8 Transfer the paper & macaroons to cooling rack, & let cool completely.
  • Step #9 Peel off carefully when cooled.
