Hamburger Steaks Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 lbs ground chuck .
  • salt & pepper .
  • 1 large onion, sliced .
  • 2 tbsps worcestershire sauce .
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil or olive oil .
  • 1 medium green pepper, sliced .
  • 1 tsp dry mustard .
  • 2 (7 oz) cans tomato sauce

Directions
  • Step #1 Salt & pepper ground beef.
  • Step #2 Form into 6 patties.
  • Step #3 Brown in hot oil over medium high heat, about 2 mins on each side.
  • Step #4 Remove from pan.
  • Step #5 Add onion & green pepper to pan.
  • Step #6 Saute about 5 mins or until tender.
  • Step #7 Add tomato sauce, worcestershire sauce, & mustard.
  • Step #8 (I sometimes add a little Kitchen Bouquet at this point.
  • Step #9 ).
  • Step #10 Blend & return hamburger patties to pan.
  • Step #11 Bring to boil, cover, & reduce heat.
  • Step #12 Simmer until patties are no longer pink, about 15 mins.
  • Step #13 Remove cover & cook 5 mins more.
