Step #7 With electric beaters on lowish speed add flour mixture alternately with sour cream to butter mixture, ending with flour mix (do not overbeat).
Step #8 Stir in 1 tsp of almond extract.
Step #9 Put a layer of half the batter in the pan the bottom of the pan, than a layer of whole cranberry sauce (1/2 the can).
Step #10 Repeat once more with the remaining batter & cranberry sauce.
Step #11 Sprinkle top slivered almonds on top.
Step #12 Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 50 mins.
Step #13 Remove from pan after slightly cooling.
Step #14 Drizzle glaze on top.
Step #15 To Make Glaze: Mix together confectioners' sugar, warm water, & 1/2 tsp almond extract.
