Spanish Rice Soup Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 lb round steaks .
  • 8 beef bouillon cubes .
  • 1 (14 1/2 oz) can sliced tomatoes, undrained .
  • 1 (6 7/8 oz) box Spanish rice mix .
  • 1 garlic clove, minced .
  • 8 c water .
  • 2 tbsps butter or margarine

Directions
  • Step #1 Cut round steak into small cubes (I make mine 1/2 inch or less).
  • Step #2 In dutch oven, cook beef & garlic in butter over med-heat/flame until no longer pink.
  • Step #3 Lightly process can of tomatoes in food processor/blender until chunks are smaller & the consistency is a little more saucy without being completely tomato sauce.
  • Step #4 Add tomatoes, water, bouillon cubes, & entire contents of Spanish Rice mix to meat & garlic in dutch oven.
  • Step #5 Cover up tightly & let simmer over low heat/flame 15-20 mins, stirring every once in awhile.
