Fruit In Caramel And Whiskey Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 lemon, juice of .
  • 100 ml whipping cream .
  • 100 ml water .
  • 1/2 lemon, juice of .
  • 2 tbsps whiskey, preferably bourbon .
  • 150 ml sugar .
  • 2 bananas .
  • 20 grapes .
  • 1 tbsp butter

Directions
  • Step #1 Measure sugar & water in a thick bottom saucepan.
  • Step #2 Bring to boil slowly, stirring constantly.
  • Step #3 Continue to simmer & stir until the sauce turns light golden brown.
  • Step #4 Lower the heat & slowly add cream, stirring constantly.
  • Step #5 Add lemon juice, butter & whiskey, stir this to mix.
  • Step #6 Let cool until lukewarm.
  • Step #7 Halve & seed rinsed grapes.
  • Step #8 Slice peeled bananas.
  • Step #9 Place banana slices on the bottom of 4 dessert dishes (martini glasses look nice too!).
  • Step #10 Sprinkle top with lemon juice.
  • Step #11 Arrange halved grapes on top.
  • Step #12 Pour lukewarm caramel sauce on top of the fruit & serve as soon as possible.
