Ingredients
  • 1 tsp dried basil .
  • 1 (6 oz) can tomato paste .
  • 1 1/2 tsps dried oregano or 3/4 tsp ground oregano .
  • 1 c onions, sliced .
  • 1 bay leaf .
  • 2 tsps sugar .
  • 2 tbsps olive oil .
  • 8 garlic cloves, minced .
  • 1/8 tsp pepper .
  • 2 tsps salt .
  • 1 (28 oz) can sliced tomatoes

Directions
  • Step #1 In a medium saucepan, heat olive oil on medium heat.
  • Step #2 Add onion & garlic & saute until just soft, not browning.
  • Step #3 Add the remaining ingredients & let simmer 30 mins, or until sauce is desired consistency.
  • Step #4 Use a stick mixer or food processor/blender if you prefer a smooth consistency.
