1 c mixed vegetables, such as Carrots, Green peas, Cauliflower, sliced fine & cooked .
salt .
2 tbsps oil .
1/4 c roasted cashews, for optional garnish .
1 medium sized onion, sliced
Directions
Step #1 Chopped mixed vegetables & cook this until just tender.
Step #2 Roast Rava or Sooji (cream of wheat) in a non-stick pan till golden brown.
Step #3 KEEP IT SEPERATE.
Step #4 Put the required oil in the pan & add mustard seeds & black Gram Dal or Dhuli Urad.
Step #5 When it starts fluttering, add sliced onions, green chilies, curry leaves & finely cut ginger
When onion turns brown add the roasted Rava or Sooji & sauté nicely.
Step #6 Add salt & cooked vegetable & sauté lightly.
Step #7 Over a medium flame add about 4 c of luke warm water & mix well.
Step #8 To avoid lumps stir continuously, till the Uppamma.
Step #9 Serve hot with cocunut chutney.
Step #10 If desired add roasted cashews before serving.
