Kartofler (danish-style Potatoes) Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 dash white pepper .
  • 1 tsp salt .
  • 1 tbsp vinegar .
  • 1/2 c butter .
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar .
  • 1 large onion, sliced .
  • 6 large potatoes

Directions
  • Step #1 Boil potatoes.
  • Step #2 Cool, peel & slice 1/4-inch thick.
  • Step #3 Set aside.
  • Step #4 Melt butter in frying pan.
  • Step #5 Add onions & sauté for 5 mins, stirring every once in awhile.
  • Step #6 Add potatoes.
  • Step #7 Sauté for 5 mins or as long as needed, turning potatoes to brown both sides.
  • Step #8 Add remaining ingredients.
  • Step #9 Cook for 5 mins longer.
