Ingredients
1 tsp fresh lemon juice .
1/2 tsp fresh ground black pepper .
4 (8 oz) filet mignon, 1-1/4 inches thick .
1/4 tsp fresh ground black pepper .
1/2 tsp kosher salt .
4 tbsps unsalted butter, softened .
1 tbsp finely sliced fresh Italian parsley .
BUTTER .
1/4 tsp kosher salt .
extra virgin olive oil .
1/4 tsp grated lemon zest
Directions
Step #1 For the Butter:.
Step #2 In a small bowl, mix the butter ingredients.
Step #3 Using the back of a fork, mash & stir until evenly distributed.
Step #4 Cover up & put in the fridge until ready to serve.
Step #5 Allow the filets mignons to stand at about room temp for 20 to 30 mins before grilling.
Step #6 Lightly brush or spray both sides with oil.
Step #7 Spice up evenly with the salt & pepper.
Step #8 Grill over Direct High heat until cooked to your desired doneness, 8 to 10 mins for medium-rare, turning once.
Step #9 Transfer each filet to a warm serving plate & place a tbsp of the butter on top to melt.
Step #10 Serve warm, after allowing to rest at least 5 mins.
