Cranberry Sauce With Port Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 c port wine .
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon .
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg .
  • 3/4 c sugar .
  • 1/8 tsp ground cloves .
  • 1 (12 oz) bag cranberries

Directions
  • Step #1 in a two quart sauce pan heat all ingredients to boiling over high heat, stirring occasionaly.
  • Step #2 reduce to medium heat & cook uncovered till most of the cranberries pop about 5 to 8 mins, stirring occasionaly.
  • Step #3 spoon sauce into serving bowl cover & put in the fridge until well chilled about 3 hrs or up to 4 days.
  • Step #4 mixtuer will thicken as it cools.
