German Meatballs With Spaetzle Recipe

Ingredients
  • 8 oz sour cream .
  • 1 (4 oz) can mushroom stems & pieces, drained .
  • sliced parsley (to garnish) .
  • 1 (14 oz) can beef broth .
  • 16 oz frozen meatballs (32 balls) .
  • 1/2 c sliced onions .
  • 2 tbsps flour .
  • 1 (10 1/2 oz) box dried spaetzle noodles .
  • 1/2-1 tsp caraway seeds

Directions
  • Step #1 Cook spaetzle according to package directions.
  • Step #2 Drain.
  • Step #3 Meanwhile, mushroom pieces, broth, in a saucepan mix the meatballs, & sliced onion.
  • Step #4 Bring to a boil, reduce heat & let simmer, covered, 15 to 20 mins.
  • Step #5 In a small bowl, mix, stirring well, flour, the sour cream, & caraway seeds.
  • Step #6 Stir into meatballs mixture.
  • Step #7 Cook & stir until thickened & bubbly.
  • Step #8 Cook one min longer.
  • Step #9 Spoon meatballs over the spaetzle & garnish with sliced parsley.
