Scalloped Tomatoes Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3 medium tomatoes (about 1 lb., each sliced 1/2 in. thick) .
  • 1/4 c seasoned dry bread crumbs .
  • 1 small onion, sliced .
  • 4 slices bacon, cut into 1 inch pieces

Directions
  • Step #1 In small bowl, cok bacon, covered, on high 3 to 4 min.
  • Step #2 until crisp.
  • Step #3 Remove bacon; set aside.
  • Step #4 Discard all but 1 Tbs.
  • Step #5 fat.
  • Step #6 To fat remaining in bowl, add onion;cook, covered, 1 min.
  • Step #7 Stir in bread crumbs.
  • Step #8 Cook 21/2 t 31/2 min until brown & crisp, stirring often during cooking.
  • Step #9 Around edge of 9 inch pie plate arrange tomato slices overlapping.
  • Step #10 Sprinkle top crumbs & bacon on tomatoes.
  • Step #11 Cook on high 3 to 4 mins until heated through.
