Sata Andagi (okinawan Doughnuts) Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/4 tsp salt .
  • oil (for deep frying) .
  • 3/4 c milk .
  • 3 1/2 tbsps baking powder .
  • 2 c sugar .
  • 4 eggs .
  • 4 c flour .
  • 3/4 tsp vanilla

Directions
  • Step #1 In a deep fryer or deep skillet, heat oil to 350 F or until hot.
  • Step #2 In a large bowl, milk, beat eggs, & vanilla.
  • Step #3 Sift flour, sugar, baking powder & salt.
  • Step #4 Add to egg mixture; stir until dry ingredients are moistened & dough is smooth.
  • Step #5 Drop tspfuls of dough into the hot oil; fry until golden brown & doughnuts rise to the surface.
