Asparagus With Beer And Honey Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 c dark beer or lager beer .
  • 1/2 tsp salt .
  • 1/3 c Dijon mustard .
  • 1/3 c honey .
  • 1/4 tsp pepper .
  • 1 lb fresh asparagus, washed & ends trimmed .
  • 1/2 tsp crushed thyme leaves .
  • 1 garlic clove, minced

Directions
  • Step #1 Put asparagus to boiling, salted water (about 1-inch deep) & cook, covered, about 2-3 mins or until crisp-tender.
  • Step #2 Drain.
  • Step #3 Meanwhile, garlic, honey, mustard, mix thyme, beer, thyme, pepper & salt in a small saucepan; mix well.
  • Step #4 Heat over medium-high heat just until boiling.
  • Step #5 Remove sauce from heat.
  • Step #6 Pour sauce over hot, cooked asparagus.
