Slow Cooked Tamale Casserole Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 c milk .
  • 1 (15 oz) can corn, drained .
  • 1 lb ground beef .
  • 1 (14 oz) can sliced tomatoes, undrained .
  • 1 egg .
  • 3/4 c cornmeal .
  • 2 tbsps chili seasoning mix .
  • 1 c shredded cheddar cheese .
  • 1 (2 oz) can sliced olives, drained .
  • 1 tsp seasoning salt

Directions
  • Step #1 In a skillet, cook beef over med-heat/flame til no longer pink.
  • Step #2 Let drain.
  • Step #3 In a bowl, milk, mix egg, cornmeal & beat til smooth.
  • Step #4 Add corn, olives, tomatoes, chili seasoning, seasoned salt & beef.
  • Step #5 Transfer to GREASED slow cooker (aka crockpot).
  • Step #6 Cover up.
  • Step #7 Cook 3 3/4 hrs on HIGH.
  • Step #8 Sprinkle top with cheese.
  • Step #9 Cover up & cook another 15 mins til cheese is melted.
