Beef Shirataki Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 c soy sauce .
  • 5 c hot cooked rice .
  • 1 tbsp sugar .
  • 300F g filet of beef, sliced paper thin .
  • 1/4 c mirin .
  • 2 tsps fresh ginger juice .
  • 2 green onions, sliced .
  • 200 g shirataki noodles, drained

Directions
  • Step #1 Place the noodles in a saucepan of boiling water & cook for 1 min, separating the noodles with chopsticks.
  • Step #2 Drain & cut into 10 cm lengths.
  • Step #3 Bring the sauce, sugar & mirin to a boil in a medium saucepan.
  • Step #4 Add the beef & cook just until the meat changes colour.
  • Step #5 Strain the beef over a heatproof bowl & return the sauce to the same saucepan.
  • Step #6 Add the onions & noodles to the pan & let simmer for 3 mins or until the onion softens.
  • Step #7 Return the beef, add the ginger juice & heat through.
  • Step #8 Divide the rice among serving bowls.
  • Step #9 Top with beef & noodles & about 1/4 c of the sauce.
