Step #1
Preheat the oven to 300F degrees F (150 degrees C).
Step #2 In a medium bowl, cayenne pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, mix together the ground beef, bread crumbs, ground black pepper, paprika, & salt.
Step #3 Press into an 8x8 inch square baking dish, or casserole dish.
Step #4 Bake for 2 hrs in the preheated oven, until cooked through.
Step #5 Set aside to cool for at least 1/2 hr, the meat will slice even better if it is actually chilled completely.
Step #6 To make the sauce, mix the evaporated milk, sugar & vinegar in a jar with a lid, & shake well to mix.
Step #7 Set aside to thicken.
Step #8 Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat, & slice off thin slices of the meat loaf.
Step #9 Fry the slices briefly in the hot skillet, until browned on each side.
Step #10 Remove from the skillet, & keep warm.
Step #11 Flick a little water onto the hot skillet, & brown the pita breads a little on each side to soften.
Step #12 Load up one side of pitas with meat slices, tomatoes & onion.
Step #13 Spoon sauce over the filling, & fold pitas in half, then towards the center.
