Ingredients

1 oz lemon zest or orange zest .
2 quarts milk .
2 oz sugar .
4 oz currants .
4 oz sliced suet .
1 egg .
8 oz breadcrumbs

Directions

Step #1 Mix the dry ingredients.
Step #2 Beat the egg & add to the milk.
Step #3 Combine the milk mix with the dry ingredients.
Step #4 Cover up & boil for 3 hrs.
Step #5 Serve with Madeira Sauce poured over the pudding.
