Chocolate Cream Filling Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 c milk .
  • 3 unsweetened chocolate squares (3 oz) .
  • 1 c heavy cream .
  • 3/4 c sugar .
  • 1/2 tsp salt .
  • 1 tsp vanilla .
  • 1/3 c cold water .
  • 2 tsps unflavored gelatin (1 packet) .
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch

Directions
  • Step #1 In a medium-sized sauce pan, sugar, salt, mix together the cornstarach, milk & chocolate.
  • Step #2 Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring constantly, & boil for 1 min.
  • Step #3 Remove the pan from the heat.
  • Step #4 Soften the gelating in the cold water for 1 min, then stir in theto the hot chocolate mixture.
  • Step #5 Pour it into a bowl & let it cool to about room temp.
  • Step #6 To speed up the cooling process, set the bowl In a large-ishr bowl filled with ice water.
  • Step #7 Stir with a rubber spatula until it's room temperature.
  • Step #8 Be careful not to let the gelatin set up.
  • Step #9 When the chocolate mixture is cool, whip 1 c heavy cream with 1 tsps vanilla.
  • Step #10 Fold this into the chocolate mixture.
