Step #1 Place milk & caramels in double boiler & heat, stirring, until hot & smooth cream is obtained.
Step #2 Chop the chocolate & add it to above hot cream.
Step #3 Stir until chocolate is melted.
Step #4 Mix in soft ice cream & vanilla extract & stir until smooth.
Step #5 VARIATION: Instead of using milk, substitute 1/3 very strong coffee.
Step #6 NOTE: Can easily be prepared in the microwave instead of a double boiler.
