Herbed Basmati Rice Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 tbsp minced fresh basil .
  • 3 tbsps thinly sliced green onion tops .
  • 3 tbsps freshly grated parmesan cheese .
  • 1 1/2 tsps minced fresh thyme .
  • 1 1/2 c water .
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced .
  • 3/4 c basmati rice, uncooked .
  • 1/2 tsp salt .
  • 1 tbsp margarine

Directions
  • Step #1 Let the margarine melt in a saucepan over medium-high heat.
  • Step #2 Add in garlic; stir/saute for 1 min (do no let garlic burn).
  • Step #3 Add in rice; stir well.
  • Step #4 Add in water & salt; bring to a boil.
  • Step #5 Cover up, lower heat, & let simmer 20 mins or until liquid is absorbed.
  • Step #6 Stir in onion tops, basil, & thyme.
  • Step #7 Sprinkle top with cheese.
