Cornish Pasties Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/4 c onions .
  • 1 c mashed potatoes .
  • 1/2 tsp salt .
  • 1 loaf frozen bread dough, thawed .
  • 1/2 lb ground pork .
  • 1/4 tsp pepper .
  • 2 c rutabagas, cooked & mashed

Directions
  • Step #1 Brown pork & onion In a large-ish pan, crumbling as it cooks.
  • Step #2 Drain fat.
  • Step #3 Stir in remaining ingredients.
  • Step #4 Mix well & let cool.
  • Step #5 Use a long piece of thread or dental floss to cut the frozen bread dough into 1/2" slices.
  • Step #6 Pat each one out into a 6-7" circle.
  • Step #7 Place 1/2 c of filling down the centre & bring each side up to the top.
  • Step #8 Pinch together to seal & place on a lightly greased cookie sheet.
  • Step #9 Let rise for 20 mins.
  • Step #10 Bake at 350F for 30 mins, or until bread is browned.
  • Step #11 Serve hot or cold.
