Green Tea Muffins Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 tsps japanese green tea powder (matcha in Japanese) .
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda .
  • 2 eggs .
  • 1/2 c butter, softened at about room temp .
  • 2 c all-purpose flour .
  • 1 c white sugar .
  • 1/2 c milk

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven at 350°F.
  • Step #2 Sift together the flour, baking soda, & green tea powder & set aside.
  • Step #3 In a large bowl, beat the butter until light.
  • Step #4 Add the sugar & eggs & beat some more until light & fluffy.
  • Step #5 Add the dry mixture & the milk.
  • Step #6 Stir with a spatula or wooden spoon until the dry ingredients are just incorporated (don't overmix).
  • Step #7 The batter will be somewhat lumpy.
  • Step #8 Divide the batter among the muffin tins (If you don't have any liners, grease the tins), about 2/3 full.
  • Step #9 Bake for 25-30 mins.
  • Step #10 Allow to cool on a wire rack.
