Creamy Maple Breakfast Bake Recipe

Ingredients
  • 8 oz cream cheese, cut into 1/2 inch cubes .
  • 8 eggs .
  • 1/2 c pure maple syrup .
  • 1/4 c sugar .
  • 1 tsp cinnamon .
  • 1/2 tsp salt .
  • 1 lb loaf bread (French or Italian cut into 1/2 inch cubes, divided) .
  • 2 1/2 c half-and-half

Directions
  • Step #1 Grease 13x9 inch pan.
  • Step #2 Place ½ the bread cubes in the bottom of pan.
  • Step #3 Top with cream cheese cubes place evenly.
  • Step #4 Top with remaining bread.
  • Step #5 In large mixing bowl beat eggs, half & half, maple syrup & salt until smooth.
  • Step #6 Pour evenly over the bread.
  • Step #7 Cover up tightly & put in the fridge overnight.
  • Step #8 In morning remove casserole from refrigerator & heat oven to 350.
  • Step #9 Combine sugar & cinnamon & sprinkle it over bread.
  • Step #10 Bake until top in golden brown & center is set, about 35-45 mins.
  • Step #11 Let stand 10 mins before serving in cut squares.
  • Step #12 Serve with extra maple syrup or fruit sauce on the side.
