French Pear Flan Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 c sugar .
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon .
  • 2 eggs .
  • 3/4 c milk .
  • 2 tbsps softened butter .
  • 3/4 c whipping cream .
  • 2 large pears

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat the oven to 300°F.
  • Step #2 Lightly grease a 8 inch flan dish.
  • Step #3 Peel the pears, cut them in half, remove seeds & cut them into 1/4 inch slices.
  • Step #4 Place the sliced pears in a saucepan with the butter, & sauté over a low heat for 5 mins, turning once.
  • Step #5 Meanwhile, in a mixing bowl, milk, sugar, mix together the eggs, whipping cream & cinnamon.
  • Step #6 Drain the pears & arrange in the greased flan case.
  • Step #7 Pour the egg mixture over the top of the pears & bake for about 40 mins or until set.
  • Step #8 Serve warm.
