Idaho Fries Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/4 tsp salt .
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or vegetable oil .
  • 1/4 tsp fresh ground pepper .
  • 4 (5 oz) idaho potatoes, scrubbed

Directions
  • Step #1 Adjust the oven rack to the lowest position in the oven.
  • Step #2 Preheat oven to 450°F.
  • Step #3 Cut the potatoes lengthwise into eights to form wedges.
  • Step #4 Toss the potatoes with the oil on a heavy baking sheet or jelly-roll pan, & arrange them flat in a single layer.
  • Step #5 Bake the potatoes without turning, until the bottoms are golden & crisp, about 20 mins; turn potatoes to the other side.
  • Step #6 Bake 10 mins more until crisp.
  • Step #7 Remove from the oven & sprinkle with salt & pepper.
