Tuxedo Brownie Torte Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/3 c powdered sugar .
  • Garnish .
  • 1/4 c water .
  • 1 c whipping cream, whipped .
  • 1 (19 1/2 oz) package fudge brownie mix .
  • 3 mint leaves, if desired .
  • 2 eggs .
  • 2 tbsps white Creme de Cacao, if desired .
  • 1/2 c oil .
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened .
  • 3 whole fresh raspberries, if desired or .
  • Topping .
  • 3 whole frozen raspberries, if desired .
  • 1 (10 oz) package frozen raspberries in light syrup, thawed .
  • 1 tbsp grated semisweet chocolate .
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch .
  • 1 c fresh raspberries or frozen raspberries, without syrup, thawed, drained on paper towel, serving 3 for garnish .
  • 1 tbsp sugar .
  • Filling .
  • 1 c white vanilla chips, melted .
  • Brownie

Directions
  • Step #1 Heat oven to 350.
  • Step #2 Grease bottom & sides of 9 or 10 inch springform pan.
  • Step #3 In large bowl, mix all brownie ingredients.
  • Step #4 Beat 50 strokes by hand.
  • Step #5 Spread batter in greased pan.
  • Step #6 Bake at 350 for 40-45 mins or until center is set.
  • Step #7 Cool 30 mins.
  • Step #8 Run knife around sides of pan to loosen; remove sides of pan.
  • Step #9 Cool completely.
  • Step #10 Place thawed raspberries in syrup in mixer container or food processor/blender bowl with metal blade.
  • Step #11 Cover up; mix or process until pureed.
  • Step #12 Stain to remove seeds.
  • Step #13 In small saucepan, mix sugar & cornstarch.
  • Step #14 Gradually add raspberry puree; mix well.
  • Step #15 Bring to a boil; cook this until mixture is clear, stirring constantly.
  • Step #16 Cool 5 mins.
  • Step #17 Spread over brownie layer to within 1/2 inch of edges.
  • Step #18 Arrange 1 c of fresh raspberries evenly over raspberry mixture; put in the fridge.
  • Step #19 In medium bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar & creme de cacao; beat until smooth.
  • Step #20 Add melted vanilla chips; beat until smooth.
  • Step #21 Fold in whipped cream.
  • Step #22 Cover up; put in the fridge 45 mins.
  • Step #23 Stir topping mixture until smooth.
  • Step #24 Spread 1 1/2 c of the topping over raspberries.
  • Step #25 Pipe or spoon on remaining topping.
  • Step #26 Refrigerate at least 1 hr or until firm.
  • Step #27 Sprinkle top grated chocolate in 1 inch border around outside edge of torte.
  • Step #28 Garnish center with 3 whole raspberries & 3 mint leaves.
  • Step #29 Store in refrigerator.
