Low Sodium Mini-meatballs And Sauce For Kids Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder .
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder .
  • 1-2 tbsp grated parmesan cheese .
  • 1-2 tbsp dried onion flakes .
  • 1 quart no-salt-added chicken broth .
  • 1 tsp dried basil .
  • 1/2 tsp basil .
  • 1 pinch dried parsley .
  • 1 tsp onion powder .
  • 1 c quick oats .
  • 1 (6 oz) can no-salt added tomato paste .
  • 1 c water .
  • 1 tbsp evaporated cane juice .
  • 1 lb ground turkey .
  • 1/2-1 tsp dried oregano .
  • 1 tsp oregano .
  • water .
  • 2 eggs

Directions
  • Step #1 Process oatmeal until coarse powder (like dried breadcrumbs).
  • Step #2 Remove from processor.
  • Step #3 Place turkey, & with metal blade, eggs, spices & ground oatmeal into processor, onion, process until mixed.
  • Step #4 Mixture should be firm enough to roll this into balls.
  • Step #5 In a large saucepan, bring broth to simmer.
  • Step #6 Add water as needed to accommodate all meatballs.
  • Step #7 Roll meat into small balls (1 inch in diameter) & drop into broth, & cook for 10 mins or until done.
  • Step #8 For sauce, mix tomato paste & water with a whisk until mixed.
  • Step #9 Add all other ingredients & mix.
  • Step #10 Heat through, & serve this with meatballs & pasta.
