Crumbly Cinnamon Chocolate Squares Recipe

Ingredients
  • 100 g dark chocolate .
  • 3 tbsps milk .
  • 200 g golden syrup .
  • 100 g light muscovado sugar .
  • 1 tsp cinnamon .
  • 175 g flour .
  • Cake .
  • 175 g butter, room temp. cubed .
  • 3 eggs .
  • 1 tsp baking powder .
  • Topping .
  • 85 g mixed sliced nuts

Directions
  • Step #1 Heat oven to 180 Degrees Celsius Line base tray-bake tin with greaseproof paper.
  • Step #2 Put cake ingredients into a large mixing bowl, & beat until well-mixed & creamy.
  • Step #3 Tip into cake tin.
  • Step #4 Scatter chocolate on top.
  • Step #5 Mix remaining ingreients & scatter over top of chocolate.
  • Step #6 Lightly press to compact mixture.
  • Step #7 Bake for 40 mins.
  • Step #8 Cool in tin before cutting into squares.
  • Step #9 Will store wrapped in foil wrap for 4 days.
