Chicken And Sausage With Bowties Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 tsp dried rosemary
  • 1/2 c red wine
  • 1 lb spicy italian turkey sausage
  • 2 tbsps sliced fresh basil
  • 1 (14.5 oz) can crushed tomatoes
  • 2 cloves garlic, sliced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
  • 1 (16 oz) package uncooked farfalle pasta
  • salt & pepper to taste

Directions
  • Step #1 Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil.
  • Step #2 Add pasta & cook for 8 to 10 mins or until al dente; drain.
  • Step #3 Wash chicken breasts & cut into large bite size pieces.
  • Step #4 Remove casing from sausage & cut into large pieces.
  • Step #5 In a large, deep skillet over medium low heat, put oil & garlic & saute to flavor oil.
  • Step #6 Remove garlic from oil.
  • Step #7 Add chicken & sausage to skillet & brown both lightly until they are opaque.
  • Step #8 Add the tomatoes & the wine.
  • Step #9 Bring to a boil & let simmer for 20 mins.
  • Step #10 Spice up sauce mixture with basil, rosemary & salt & pepper to taste.
  • Step #11 Add cooked, drained pasta to the skillet mixture.
  • Step #12 Toss & serve.
