Potato Casserole Recipe

Ingredients
  • 8 oz cheddar cheese, grated (divided) .
  • 1 onion, sliced .
  • 1/2 c butter or margarine .
  • 16 oz sour cream .
  • bacon, cooked & crumbled (optional) .
  • salt & pepper .
  • 2-4 tbsps milk .
  • 8 large potatoes, baked & skins removed

Directions
  • Step #1 Mash potatoes with butter/margarine, salt, pepper, onion & milk.
  • Step #2 Add sour cream.
  • Step #3 Mix in 1/2 of the cheese.
  • Step #4 Pour into large casserole dish.
  • Step #5 Sprinkle top remaining cheese on top.
  • Step #6 Bake 15 mins at 350 degrees.
  • Step #7 Top with bacon crumbs.
  • Step #8 If prepared ahead of time & chilled, bake 45 mins at 350 degrees or until bubbly.
