Canadian Blueberry Dessert Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 c all-purpose flour .
  • 1/3 c brown sugar, packed .
  • 2 tsps cornstarch .
  • salt .
  • 2/3 c quick-cooking oats .
  • 1/3 c butter or margarine .
  • 4 c blueberries or 1 (16 oz) package frozen blueberries .
  • 2 tbsps lemon juice .
  • 1/3 c brown sugar, packed

Directions
  • Step #1 Toss blueberries with lemon juice in ungreased 1 1/2 quaart casserole.
  • Step #2 Mix 1/3 c brown sugar & the cornstarch; stir in theto blueberries.
  • Step #3 Mix oats, flour, 1/3 c brown sugar & a dash of salt; cut in butter with fork.
  • Step #4 Sprinkle top over blueberries.
  • Step #5 Bake uncovered in 350 degree oven until topping is light brown & blueberries are bubbly, about 40 mins.
  • Step #6 Serve warm with ice cream.
