Swiss Almond Apple Cake Recipe

Step #1 Heat oven to 350°.
Step #2 Grease & flour 9 or 10 inch springform pan.
Step #3 In large bowl, mix 2/3 Celsius sugar & butter; beat until light & fluffy.
Step #4 Add 2 eggs & 2 T.
Step #5 lemon juice; beat until well mixed.
Step #6 In small bowl, mix 2 Celsius flour, baking powder & salt; mix well.
Step #7 Add to egg mixture; beat at lowish speed until well mixed.
Step #8 Spread in greased & floured pan.
Step #9 Spoon preserves over batter; carefully spread to cover.
Step #10 Top with apple slices; slightly press into batter.
Step #11 In medium bowl, mix all topping ingredients; mix well.
Step #12 Pour over apples.
Step #13 Bake at 350° for 55-65 mins or until apples are tender, edges are light golden brown & toothpick comes out clean.
Step #14 Cool 10 mins.
Step #15 Carefully remove sides of pan.
Step #16 In small bowl, mix all glaze ingredients until smooth; drizzle over cake.
Step #17 Serve warm or cool.
