6 oz butterscotch chips or milk chocolate chips or peanut butter .
2 c granulated sugar .
2 tsps baking soda .
4 c flour .
1 c coconut .
1 c solid shortening
Directions
Step #1 Preheat oven to 350°.
Step #2 I a large mixing bowl, cream butter & shortening; add SUGARS, eggs & vanilla, mix well.
Step #3 Stir in oats, rice krispies, baking soda & baking powder; when well mixed, flour, pecans, stir in the coconut, chocolate chips & chips of choice.
Step #4 When batter is throughly mixed, measure 1/4 c batter for each cookie on a large ungreased baking sheet.
Step #5 Bake 10 to 12 mins, or until edges are golden; for a crisper cookie bake 12 to 15 mins; allow cookies to cool slightly on baking sheet before removing to a wire rack.
