Baked Hoisin Chicken Buns Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 12 oz skinless, boneless chicken thighs
  • 9 frozen white roll dough pieces, thawed (such as Rich's)
  • 2 tsps rice vinegar
  • 1/4 c finely sliced green onions
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds, toasted
  • 1 1/2 tbsps hoisin sauce
  •  Cooking spray

Directions
  • Step #1 Heat a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Step #2 Coat pan with cooking spray.
  • Step #3 Add chicken; cook 4 mins on each side or until done.
  • Step #4 Cool slightly; shred meat with 2 forks.
  • Step #5 Place chicken in a medium bowl.
  • Step #6 Add green onions, hoisin sauce, oyster sauce, & vinegar; toss well to mix.
  • Step #7 Roll each dough piece into a 4-inch circle on a lightly floured surface.
  • Step #8 Spoon about 2 tbsps chicken mixture into center of each dough circle.
  • Step #9 Gather edges of dough over filling; pinch to seal.
  • Step #10 Place the filled dough, seam sides down, on a baking sheet coated with cooking spray.
  • Step #11 Lightly coat filled dough with cooking spray.
  • Step #12 Cover up & let rise 20 mins.
  • Step #13 Preheat oven to 375°.
  • Step #14 Uncover filled dough.
  • Step #15 Gently brush with egg; discard remaining egg.
  • Step #16 Sprinkle top evenly with sesame seeds.
  • Step #17 Bake at 375° for 15 mins or until golden brown.
  • Step #18 Serve warm.
