Bean-and-rosemary Bites Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/8 tsp dried crushed red pepper
  • 1 (8-oz.) French bread loaf
  • 1/2 tsp fresh rosemary, minced
  • 1 (16-oz.) can cannellini or great Northern beans, rinsed & drained
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1/4 tsp grated lemon rind
  • 1 tsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Directions
  • Step #1 Cut bread into 12 (1/2-inch) slices.
  • Step #2 Place on baking sheet.
  • Step #3 Bake at 375° for 5 to 7 mins or until toasted.
  • Step #4 Sauté garlic & rosemary in hot oil in a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat 2 mins.
  • Step #5 Stir in beans & next 3 ingredients.
  • Step #6 Cook until thoroughly heated, stirring frequently & mashing beans partially to desired consistency.
  • Step #7 Spread about 2 1/2 Tbsp.
  • Step #8 bean mixture over each bread slice.
