Chesapeake Bay Crab Cakes Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 lb fresh lump crabmeat, drained
  • 1 1/2 tsps dried parsley flakes
  • 6 tbsps mayonnaise, divided
  • 1 1/4 tsps Old Bay seasoning, divided
  •  Garnishes: fresh chives, lemon slices
  • 3 or 4 drops hot sauce
  •  Tartar Sauce
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/8 tsp freshly ground pepper
  •  Paprika
  • 4 saltine crackers, crushed

Directions
  • Step #1 Stir together 3 tbsps mayonnaise, 3/4 tsp Old Bay seasoning, & next 6 ingredients in a medium bowl; carefully stir in the crabmeat.
  • Step #2 Shape into 12 patties.
  • Step #3 Place on a lightly greased baking sheet.
  • Step #4 Stir together remaining 3 tbsps mayonnaise & remaining 1/2 tsp Old Bay seasoning; spread evenly on crab cakes.
  • Step #5 Sprinkle top with paprika.
  • Step #6 Bake at 350° for 20 mins or until lightly browned.
  • Step #7 (Do not overbake.
  • Step #8 ) Garnish, if desired, & serve this with Tartar Sauce.
