Savory Kalamata Cheesecake Squares Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 c kalamata olives, pitted & sliced or sliced
  • 1 tbsp sliced fresh rosemary
  • 1/2 c very finely sliced pecans
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
  •  1 1/4 c Italian-seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 1 (8-oz) carton sour cream
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/3 c butter or margarine, melted
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 (3-oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 (8-oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  •  Garnishes: fresh rosemary sprigs, kalamata olives

Directions
  • Step #1 Combine first 3 ingredients; stir well.
  • Step #2 Press crumb mixture firmly into a lightly greased, foil wrap-lined 9" square pan.
  • Step #3 Bake at 350° for 12 mins.
  • Step #4 Set aside to cool.
  • Step #5 Beat cream cheese, sour cream, flour, & seasonings at medium speed of an electric mixer until smooth.
  • Step #6 Add egg & egg yolk, one at a time, beating just until mixed.
  • Step #7 Stir in sliced olives & sliced rosemary; pour filling into baked crust.
  • Step #8 Bake at 350° for 20 mins or just until firm.
  • Step #9 Cool to about room temp on a wire rack.
  • Step #10 Cover up & chill in the fridge.
  • Step #11 To serve, lift foil wrap out of pan, & cut cheesecake into squares.
  • Step #12 Garnish serving platter, if desired.
