Harvest Cheddar Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 (2-oz) jar sliced pimiento, well drained
  • 2 tsps rubbed sage
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 (8-oz) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 small onion, finely sliced
  • 1/2 tsp ground white pepper
  • 1 tbsp butter or margarine, melted
  • 12 slices bacon, cooked & crumbled
  • 2 c (8 oz) shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Directions
  • Step #1 Cook onion & garlic in butter In a large-ish skillet over medium-high heat until tender; remove this from heat & let cool.
  • Step #2 Beat cream cheese at medium speed of an electric mixer until smooth.
  • Step #3 Add Cheddar cheese, Worcestershire sauce, sage, & pepper; mix well.
  • Step #4 Stir in onion mixture & pimiento.
  • Step #5 Cover up & chill at least 1 hr.
  • Step #6 Shape mixture into a cheese round.
  • Step #7 Roll in crumbled bacon; cut into large wedges & wrap individual wedges in plastic wrap.
  • Step #8 Serve with fruit & crackers.
