Mushrooms Stuffed With Ham Recipe

Ingredients
  • 12 oz fresh mushrooms (about 24 medium)
  • 1/2 c butter or margarine, divided
  • 1/3 c grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2/3 c (4 oz) sliced cooked ham
  • 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/2 tbsps minced fresh parsley
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 c sliced onion

Directions
  • Step #1 Remove stems from mushrooms, & dice.
  • Step #2 Set mushroom caps aside.
  • Step #3 Melt 1/4 c butter in a skillet over low heat/flame; add onion, & sauté until tender.
  • Step #4 Add sliced mushroom stems, & sauté until tender.
  • Step #5 Transfer to a small bowl; stir in the sliced ham & next 4 ingredients.
  • Step #6 Melt remaining 1/4 c butter in skillet over med-heat/flame; add mushroom caps, & sauté until barely tender.
  • Step #7 Remove from pan.
  • Step #8 Stuff caps with ham mixture, & place on a lightly greased baking sheet.
  • Step #9 Cover up & chill up to 12 hrs, if desired.
  • Step #10 Broil 5 inches from heat (with electric oven door partially open) 6 to 8 mins or until filling is lightly browned.
