Goat Cheese Torta Recipe

Ingredients
  •  Garnishes: fresh basil sprigs, pecans, pine nuts
  • 1 (10.5-oz) package goat cheese
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  •  French baguette slices
  • 1/2 to 3/4 c Garden Pesto
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 (8-oz) package cream cheese, softened

Directions
  • Step #1 Process first 5 ingredients in a mixer or food processor/blender until smooth, stopping to scrape down sides.
  • Step #2 Line a 2- or 3-c glass bowl with plastic wrap, allowing 3 inches to hang over sides.
  • Step #3 Spread half of cheese mixture into bowl; top evenly with 1/2 to 3/4 c Garden Pesto.
  • Step #4 Top with remaining half of cheese mixture.
  • Step #5 Cover up & chill 8 hrs.
  • Step #6 Invert chilled torta onto a serving platter; remove plastic wrap.
  • Step #7 Garnish, if desired.
  • Step #8 Serve with baguette slices.
